Nivel de conocimiento y actitudes acerca del autoexamen de mamas en estudiantes de pregrado de una universidad peruana,2022

Abstract

La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación del conocimiento con las actitudes acerca del autoexamen de mamas en estudiantes de pregrado de una universidad peruana, 2022. En cuanto a la metodología la investigación fue de tipo aplicada, empleó el método hipotético– deductivo, y el enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental y nivel correlacional. La población fue de 150 estudiantes de pregrado de una universidad peruana 2022 y la muestra obtenida mediante el muestreo no probabilístico estuvo conformada por 80 estudiantes. La técnica usada en el recojo de información fue la encuesta, con 2 instrumentos estandarizados con escalas de Likert el nivel de conocimiento y la actitud sobre el autoexamen de mamas respectivamente. Los resultados arrojaron que 38,8% de estudiantes, tiene un bajo nivel de conocimiento sobre la prevención y a la vez una actitud negativa frente al autoexamen de mama, 40% tiene un nivel de conocimiento medio y también una actitud negativa; mientras que el 15% que tiene un alto nivel de conocimiento tiene una actitud positiva respecto del autoexamen de mamas. El estudio llegó a concluir que existe una relación significativa y positiva entre el nivel de conocimiento y las actitudes acerca del autoexamen de mamas en estudiantes de una universidad peruana 2022 (p = 0.000 < 0.05, r = 0.837).

The objective of the research was to determine the relationship of knowledge with attitudes about breast self-examination in undergraduate students of a Peruvian university, 2022. Regarding the methodology, the research was of an applied type, it used the hypothetical - deductive method, with a Quantitative, correlational level non-experimental design. The population was 150 undergraduate students from a Peruvian university 2022 and the sample obtained through non-probabilistic sampling was made up of 80 students. The technique used to collect information was the survey, with 2 standardized instruments with Likert scales, the level of knowledge and attitude about breast self-examination, respectively. The results showed that 38.8% of students have a low level of knowledge about prevention and at the same time a negative attitude towards breast self-examination, 40% have a medium level of knowledge and also a negative attitude; while the 15% who have a high level of knowledge have a positive attitude towards breast self-examination. The study concluded that there is a significant and positive relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes about breast self-examination in students of a Peruvian university 2022 (p = 0.000 < 0.05, r = 0.837).
