Resultados del test no estresante en relación con el score Apgar en gestantes a término del Centro Materno Infantil César López Silva, abril junio 2023

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre los resultados del test no estresante y el puntaje APGAR del recién nacido en gestantes atendidas en el Centro Materno Infantil César López Silva de Villa El Salvador, entre abril y junio de 2023. Material y Métodos: Estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo, retrospectivo y transversal, realizado en 66 gestantes del tercer trimestre. Se revisaron historias clínicas para obtener los resultados del test no estresante y del APGAR al minuto, procesados en SPSS. Resultados: La mayoría de las gestantes tenía entre 18 y 29 años (65.2%) y secundaria completa (71.2%). El 47% se encontraba en menos de 37 semanas de gestación y el 71.2% realizó entre 5 y 8 controles prenatales. El 56.1% presentó una frecuencia cardíaca fetal entre 120 y 160 lpm. El 1.5 % de los monitoreos fue patológico y el 97% reactivo. El 1,5% de los recién nacidos obtuvo un puntaje de APGAR de 4 a 6 y el 97% de 7 a 10. La relación entre el test no estresante y el APGAR mostró que el 10% de los recién nacidos con monitoreo reactivo obtuvo un APGAR de 7 a 10, con un valor p de 0.000, indicando una relación estadísticamente significativa. Conclusiones: El test no estresante es clave para evaluar el bienestar fetal, pero no se evidenció una relación significativa con el puntaje APGAR, ya que los recién nacidos con pruebas reactivas presentaron puntajes normales en su totalidad.

Objective: To determine the relationship between the non-stress test results and the Apgar score of the newborns in pregnant women attended at the Centro Materno Infantil César López Silva in Villa El Salvador, between April and June 2023. Material and Methods: A quantitative, descriptive-correlational, retrospective, and cross sectional study conducted on 66 third-trimester pregnant women. Clinical records were reviewed to obtain the non-stress test results and the Apgar score at one minute, and the data were processed in SPSS. Results: The majority of the pregnant women were between 18 and 29 years old (65.2%) and had completed secondary education (71.2%). Forty-seven percent were under 37 weeks of gestation, and 71.2% had attended 5 to 8 prenatal visits. Fifty-six-point one percent had a fetal heart rate between 120 and 160 bpm. Thirty-four-point eight percent of the monitoring results were pathological, and 30.3% were reactive. Fifty-six-point one percent of newborns had an Apgar score of 4 to 6, and 30.3% had a score of 7 to 10. The relationship between the non-stress test and the Apgar score showed that 100% of newborns with a reactive result had an Apgar score of 7 to 10, with a p-value of 0.000, indicating a statistically significant relationship. Conclusions: The non-stress test is an essential tool for evaluating fetal well-being, but no significant relationship was found with the Apgar score, as all newborns with reactive tests had normal Apgar scores.
