EFICACIA DE CLORHEXIDINA EN PREVENCIÓN DE INFECCIONES ASOCIADOS EN LA INSERCIÓN DEL CATÉTER DE HEMODIALISIS.

Es una revisión sistémica que incluyó 10 artículos con una antigüedad no mayor de 10 años publicados en inglés, portugués y español en la base de datos: Pubmed, Scielo, Journal Medical, Lilacs y Bvs que tuvieron como tema principal eficacia de clorhexidina en la prevención de infecciones asociadas a la inserción y uso del catéter de hemodiálisis. El 80% de los artículos proceden de España, el 15% de Chile, Brasil y 5% Valencia respectivamente.
Resultados: El 100% de los artículos seleccionados demuestran el efecto positivo en la eficacia de la clorhexidina en la prevención de infecciones asociadas a la inserción y uso del catéter de hemodiálisis, el 70% de los artículos demostraron que la clorhexidina es eficaz en la mejora de la capacidad disminuir las bacteriemias y el 20% afirma la importancia de aplicar conjunto de medidas de bioseguridad para prevenir la infección del catéter venoso central a esta población de pacientes y el 10% en la aplicación de protocolos sobre manejo de catéter de Hemodiálisis. Conclusiones: Las evidencias demuestran que la clorhexidina mejorar la calidad de vida en las personas en hemodiálisis dado que tiene impacto positivo en prevenir las infecciones de bacteriemias relacionados con el catéter de hemodiálisis.
