dc.description.abstractObjective: Determine the evidence that exists on the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the health status of the infant. Design: The study was a qualitative systematic review. Scope of study: This study was carried out through an exhaustive review of scientific studies published in different virtual databases. Study subjects: The sample was made up of 25 articles published in indexed journals during an interval of no more than 5 years. Instrumentation: For the study, the Grade system was used, which allowed us to evaluate each article. Results: Of the 30 articles selected, 25 of them had high quality according to the GRADE System. Of the articles studied and reviewed, those with the most frequency were; the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the nutritional status of the infant with 10 articles, followed by the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and infectious respiratory diseases of the infant with 8 articles and the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and gastro-intestinal infectious diseases of the infant. with 7 items. Conclusions: Based on the evidence of this systematic review, it can be stated that there is a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the health status of the infant.en_US
