Addiction to social networks and aggressiveness in students of a regular basic education school, Apurímac – 2023

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between social media addiction and aggressiveness in students attending regular basic education in Apurímac – 2023. This study followed a quantitative approach, with descriptive and correlational levels, and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The Social Media Addiction Questionnaire (ARS) and the Aggressiveness Questionnaire (AQ) were administered to 248 secondary school students. A weak positive correlation was found, with a Pearson coefficient (r) of 0.246 and a bilateral significance value (Sig) of 0.000. This indicates a statistically significant, although not very strong, connection between social media addiction and aggressiveness. The results confirm the existence of a relationship between social media addiction and aggressiveness in students attending regular basic education in Apurímac – 2023. As social media addiction increases, aggressiveness tends to increase as well, although the relationship is not very strong.

La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre adicción a las redes sociales y agresividad en alumnos que cursan la educación básica regular, Apurímac – 2023. Este estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo, nivel descriptivo y correlacional, diseño no experimental transversal. Se utilizaron el Cuestionario de Adicción a las redes sociales (ARS) y el Cuestionario de agresividad (AQ), a 248 estudiantes del nivel secundario, se encontró una correlación directa y débil, con un coeficiente de Pearson (r) de 0.246 y un valor de significancia (Sig) bilateral de 0.000. por lo tanto, esto indica una conexión estadísticamente significativa, aunque no muy fuerte, entre la adicción a las redes sociales y la agresividad en. Esto confirma la existencia de una relación entre la adicción a las redes sociales y la agresividad en los alumnos que cursan la educación básica regular en Apurímac – 2023. A medida que la adicción a las redes sociales aumenta, la agresividad tiende a incrementarse, y viceversa, aunque la relación no sea significativa.
