Relationship between quality of life and therapeutic adherence to immunosuppressants in patients with liver transplantation

Materials and method: this research was quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional; the population was 15 patients belonging to the liver transplant program. The SF-36 quality of life questionnaire and the immunosuppressive treatment adherence scale (ITAS) were used, validated and reliable instruments. Results: Through the Chi square analysis it was determined that with a significance level of 5% and with degrees of freedom of 4 according to the Chi square value table we obtained a limit value of 9.492, and according to our analysis we obtained a Chi value Pearson square of 10.95 where we conclude that our alternative research hypothesis is accepted. In other words, the quality of life of liver transplant patients is related to adherence to immunosuppressive treatment. Conclusion: A relationship was found between quality of life and therapeutic adherence to immunosuppressants in patients with liver transplants.
Resumen
Materiales y método: la presente investigación fue de tipo cuantitativo correlacional y de corte transversal, la población fue de 15 pacientes pertenecientes al programa de trasplante de hígado. Se utilizó el cuestionario de calidad de vida SF-36 y la escala de adherencia al tratamiento inmunosupresor (ITAS) instrumentos validados y confiables. Resultados: A través del análisis Chi cuadrado se pudo determinar que con un nivel de significancia de 5% y con grados de libertad 4 según la tabla de valor de Chi cuadrado obtuvimos un valor límite de 9.492, y según nuestro análisis realizado obtuvimos un valor Chi cuadrado de Pearson de 10.95 donde llegamos a concluir que nuestra hipótesis alterna de investigación es aceptada. Es decir que la calidad de vida de los pacientes con trasplante de hígado está relacionada con la adherencia al tratamiento inmunosupresor. Conclusión: Se encontró relación entre la calidad de vida y la adherencia terapéutica a inmunosupresores de los pacientes con trasplante de hígado.
