Knowledge and self-care practices in patients with chronic kidney failure at the base III EsSalud hospital - Puno, 2023

Abstract

The objective of this research will be to determine the relationship between knowledge about chronic kidney failure and the practice of self-care in patients with chronic kidney failure at Hospital II-I Ilave in 2023. The methodology will be developed under a quantitative approach, hypothetical-deductive method, non-experimental design and correlational scope. The total population will be made up of 96 patients with a diagnosis of chronic kidney failure from the II-I Hospital of Ilave. The instruments to be used will be the questionnaire about knowledge about chronic kidney failure and the “Questionnaire for the assessment of patients' self-care practice.” in hemodialysis treatment.” The statistical processing of the results will be through descriptive and inferential statistics using the Chi-square test.

El objetivo de esta investigación será determinar la relación entre el conocimiento sobre insuficiencia renal crónica y la práctica de autocuidado en pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica del Hospital II-I Ilave año 2023. La metodología se desarrollará bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, método hipotético deductivo, diseño no experimental y alcance correlacional. La población total estará conformada por 96 pacientes con diagnóstico de insuficiencia renal crónica del Hospital II-I de Ilave, Los instrumentos a utilizar serán el cuestionario acerca del conocimiento sobre insuficiencia renal crónica y el “Cuestionario para la valoración de la práctica de autocuidado de los pacientes en tratamiento de hemodiálisis”. El procesamiento estadístico de los resultados será a través de estadística descriptiva e inferencial mediante la prueba Chi-cuadrado.
