Effectiveness of myofascial release on pain and range of motion in patients with cervicalgia in a hospital in the city of Lima, 2023

Abstract

Cervical pain has become a common problem worldwide, and its prevalence has increased significantly. Studies state that fascia is composed of loose fibrous tissue and dense fibrous tissue, forming a three-dimensional network connected to all body structures involved in controlling and maintaining effective posture. Myofascial release techniques are used to improve the resistance of the fascial system, and these techniques have significantly increased in popularity and are increasingly accepted and implemented in the daily clinical work of physiotherapists.

El dolor cervical se ha convertido en un problema común a nivel mundial y su prevalencia ha aumentado significativamente, estudios afirman que la fascia está compuesta por tejido fibroso laxo y tejido fibroso denso, forma una red tridimensional que está conectada a todas las estructuras corporales implicadas en el control y mantenimiento de una postura efectiva. Se utilizan las técnicas de liberación miofascial para lograr una mejor resistencia del sistema facial y que han aumentado significativamente y son cada vez más aceptadas e implementadas en el trabajo clínico diario de los fisioterapeutas.
