Quality of nursing care and satisfaction of parents of children hospitalized in the pediatric service of a national hospital in Huancayo, 2022

Abstract

Nursing professionals who work in the pediatric service assume a series of far-reaching responsibilities, due to the vulnerability of the patients who are cared for there and the needs they present. From this perspective, it is necessary to maintain permanent contact with parents, even more so in the case of hospitalized children, since it is necessary to join efforts to achieve their recovery. However, this contact is often not carried out in a sustained and adequate manner, a situation that must be detected in order to take actions that contribute to raising the quality of nursing care and, therefore, achieve parental satisfaction. OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between quality of nursing care and satisfaction of parents of children hospitalized in the pediatric service of a national hospital in Huancayo, 2022. MATERIALS AND METHODS: It will be quantitative, non-experimental - cross-sectional and descriptive-correlational. 80 family parents. The technique will be the survey and the instruments will be two questionnaires, one to measure the variable quality of nursing care and another to measure the satisfaction of parents of hospitalized children.

Objetivo: Determinar cuál es la relación entre calidad de atención de enfermería y satisfacción de los padres de niños hospitalizados en el servicio de pediatría de un hospital nacional de Huancayo, 2022. Material y método: La investigación responde al método hipotético deductivo , tiene enfoque cuantitativo, es aplicada, descriptiva, la población y muestra que lo constituye hacen un total de 80 padres de familia que tienen a sus hijos hospitalizados en el servicio de pediatría de un hospital de Huancayo, se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta y el instrumento es cuestionario, el cual se utilizara para medir las dos variables de estudio: calidad de atención de enfermería y satisfacción de los padres de niños hospitalizados, se hizo su validez de contenido y se sometió a juicio de expertos, ambos instrumentos alcanzaron la aceptación para su aplicación, se encontró confiabilidad para ambas variables de Alfa de Cronbach: calidad de atención de enfermería fue de 0.78 y para satisfacción en padres de niños hospitalizados fue de 0.81. El procesamiento de datos se procesará en una tabla matriz construida en el programa Excel 2021, luego se trasladarán al programa SPSS vs 27. Asimismo, se hará uso de la prueba no paramétrica de Rho de Spearman.
