Quality of nursing care and patient satisfaction in a hospital emergency department

Abstract

Introduction: The care provided in health facilities must be of high quality due to nursing care, which will impact the satisfaction of users due to humanized treatment, empathy and security of development in care. Objective: To determine how the quality of nursing care and patient satisfaction are related in the emergency area of a hospital, Lima 2022. Method: The study will be applied, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional, and for convenience a sample of 100 patients treated in the emergency area of a hospital located in the district of Ate Vitarte, department of Lima was chosen. The sample will be taken between November and December 2023. The instrument used to measure the variable quality of nursing care will be the Care-Q, and the Patient Satisfaction in Nursing Care Scale will be used, which will measure the satisfaction of the patient with respect to their health care.

Objetivo: Determinar cómo se relaciona la calidad del cuidado de enfermería y la satisfacción del paciente en el área de emergencia de un Hospital, Lima 202. Método: El estudio será aplicada, descriptiva, correlacional y transversal, además por conveniencia se eligió una muestra de 100 pacientes atendidos en el área de emergencia de un hospital ubicado en el distrito de Ate Vitarte, departamento de Lima. La muestra se tomará entre noviembre y diciembre del año 2023. El instrumento usado para medir la variable calidad del cuidado de enfermería será el Care Q, y se usará la Escala de Satisfacción del Paciente en Atención de Enfermería que medirá la satisfacción del atendido respecto a su atención sanitaria.
