Level of knowledge and practices about care of the newborn in mothers hospitalized at the Barranca - Cajatambo hospital 2023

Abstract

Objective: “To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practices regarding newborn care in mothers hospitalized”, the population will consist of 420 mothers who are hospitalized in the Neonatology service of the Barranca Hospital – Cajatambo. Sample: 64 mothers obtained with the formula for finite populations, Methodological Design: The Type of research will be applied. Design will be nonexperimental, descriptive, correlational and transversal. Instruments: To evaluate the variable “Level of knowledge about newborn care in mothers” the questionnaire adopted by Arieta María, Condori Kerlly, Tinoco Karen in 2020, reliable through Combrach Alpha of 0.769, will be used and to evaluate the variable “Practices on newborn care in mothers” the observation guide adopted by Laureano Alejandra, Osorio Elian del Rocio and Torres Elizabeth in 2020 will be applied, reliable through Combrach Alpha of 0.8. The data collection technique will be the survey. Statistical processing and data analysis: it will be carried out through tables and graphs with their respective analysis and interpretation.

Objetivo: “Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y prácticas sobre los cuidados del recién nacido en madres hospitalizadas”, población estará constituida por 420 madres que se encuentran hospitalizadas en el servicio de Neonatología del Hospital Barranca – Cajatambo. Muestra: 64 madres que se obtuvo con la fórmula para poblaciones finitas, Diseño Metodológico: El Tipo de investigación será aplicada. Diseño será no experimental, descriptiva, correlacional y transversal. Instrumentos: Para evaluar la variable “Nivel de conocimiento sobre los cuidados del recién nacido en madres” se utilizará el cuestionario adoptado por Arieta María, Condori Kerlly, Tinoco Karen en el 2020 confiable mediante Alpha de Combrach de 0.769 y para evaluar la variable “Prácticas sobre los cuidados del recién nacido en madres” se aplicará la guía de observación adoptado por Laureano Alejandra, Osorio Elian del Rocio y Torres Elizabeth en el 2020 confiable mediante Alpha de Combrach de 0.8. La técnica de recolección de datos será la encuesta. Procesamiento estadístico y análisis de datos: se realizará dará a través del tablas y gráficos con su respectivo análisis e interpretación
