Level of knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding in primigravid mothers attending the Cayetano Heredia Hospital, Lima 2021

Abstract

Material and method: It is a quantitative approach research, with a cross-sectional descriptive research methodological design. Unit of analysis: The data will be obtained from first-pregnant mothers who attend the Cayetano Heredia hospital in the months of January, February and March 2021. Population and sample: The population will be made up of 80 first-pregnant mothers and the probabilistic sample will be made up of 67 mothers. primigravida Technique and instrument: For the field study, the survey technique will be used. To measure the level of knowledge, the Avendaño and Medrano (2017) questionnaire will be used, which is made up of 14 questions with 4 dimensions with a final value of good, average and bad. Limitations: Although data collection will be carried out in the first quarter of 2021, which will be taken using simple random sampling, slowness in data collection is expected due to the COVID19 pandemic, which has generated a state of emergency due to restriction of access to services due to risk of increased infections since the Cayetano Heredia hospital treats COVID19 cases.

Material y método: Es una investigación de enfoque cuantitativo, con un diseño metodológico de investigación descriptiva de corte transversal. Unidad de análisis: Los datos se obtendrán de las madres primigestas que acuden al hospital Cayetano Heredia los meses de enero, febrero y marzo del 2021. Población y muestra: La población estará constituida por 80 madres primigestas y la muestra probabilística estará constituida por 67 madres primigestas. Técnica e instrumento: Para el estudio de campo se utilizará la técnica de la encuesta. Para medir el nivel de conocimiento, se utilizará el cuestionario de Avendaño y Medrano (2017) el cual está conformado por 14 preguntas con 4 dimensiones con valor final de bueno, regular y malo. Limitaciones: Si bien la recolección de los datos se realizará en el primer trimestre del 2021, las cuales serán tomadas utilizando el muestro aleatorio simple, se prevé una lentitud en la recolección de los datos a causa de la pandemia del COVID19 el cual ha generado estado de emergencia por consecuencia restricción de acceso a los servicios por riesgo al aumento de contagios ya que el hospital Cayetano Heredia atiende los casos de COVID19.
