Level of knowledge and practice in the management of politraumatized patients in the nursing staff in the emergency area of a hospital in Lima, 2023

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practices in the management of polytraumatized patients of the nursing staff in the emergency area of a hospital in Lima. Methodology: A study was developed with a quantitative approach, of an applied, non-experimental type, with a correlational and cross-sectional scope; in a sample of 50 participants, and the sample will be census because the entire population will be used. The instruments that allowed data collection were two questionnaires. The first one that will measure the level of knowledge is a questionnaire, structured as a survey, which includes 19 items, distributed in 5 dimensions; and the second is an observation guide, it includes 36 questions, within 5 dimensions, which will issue the results corresponding to the investigation. Results: The evidence will be presented in frequency and percentage tables, using descriptive statistics and inference. Conclusion: It seeks to relate the variables; and set a precedent the level of knowledge and practices in the management of patients with multiple traumas.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimientos y las prácticas en el manejo de pacientes politraumatizados del personal de enfermería de área de emergencias de un hospital de Lima. Metodología: Se desarrollo un estudio con enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicado, no experimental, de alcance correlacional y de corte transversal; en una muestra de 60 participantes, y la muestra será censal debido a que se utilizará la totalidad de la población. Los instrumentos que permitieron recolectar los datos fueron dos cuestionarios, el primero que medirá el nivel de conocimientos es un cuestionario, estructurado como una encuesta, el cual comprende 19 ítems, distribuidas en 5 dimensiones; y el segundo es una guía de observación, comprende 36 pregunta, dentro de 5 dimensiones, las que emitirán los resultados correspondientes a la investigación. Resultados: Las evidencias serán presentadas en tablas de frecuencia y porcentaje, utilizando la estadística descriptiva e inferencia.
