Knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding and nutritional status of the child at the jose boterín health post, callao 2021

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding and the nutritional status of children at the Jose Boterín Health Center – Callao 2021. The study is quantitative in nature, correlational, and cross-sectional. The technique used was the survey. A review of the scientific literature at a global level showed the limited studies that relate both variables and the specified population. There is even no evidence of studies developed in the institution where the research will be conducted. Therefore, this study will be carried out to generate knowledge and fill an important gap, with the aim of being useful to the health center. For variable one, the questionnaire developed and validated by Garayar in 2015 Lima-Peru was used. For variable two, the CRED questionnaire was used. The population consisted of 250 mothers with their children under 6 months who attended the CRED service from January to March 2021. The questionnaire developed and validated by Garayar in his research was used to measure knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento sobre lactancia materna exclusiva y el estado nutricional del niño en el Puesto de Salud Jose Boterín – Callao 2021. El estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo correlacionar y de corte transversal. La técnica fue la encuesta. Realizando una revisión a la literatura científica a nivel mundial, se pudo evidenciar, los escasos estudios que relacionan ambas variables y la población señalada. Incluso no existe evidencia del desarrollo de estudios en la institución donde se realizará. Por ello, se realizará este estudio, para generar conocimiento y no dejar vacío un tema tan importante, con la finalidad de que sea de utilidad para el puesto de salud. Se utilizó para la variable uno el cuestionario elaborado y validado por Garayar en el año 2015 Lima- Perú. Y para la variable dos el cuestionario de Cred. La población fue conformada por 250 madres con sus niños menores de 6 meses que asisten al servicio de CRED, de enero a marzo del 2021.Se usó el cuestionario elaborado y validado por Garayar en su investigación para medir el conocimiento sobre la LM.
