Knowledge and nursing practice for pain management in newborns at the neonatal intermediate care unit of the National Maternal Perinatal Institute – Lima, 2021

Abstract

This research work will be carried out in the field of neonatal nursing and will focus on collecting data and information that will improve nursing knowledge and practice for the management of pain in neonates within the neonatal intermediate care unit of the National Maternal Perinatal Institute. . OBJECTIVE: to determine the relationship between knowledge and nursing practice for pain management in newborns of the Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit of the National Maternal Perinatal Institute – Lima, 2021. MATERIALS AND METHODS: the study will be developed within the rigor of the quantitative approach, with a descriptive-correlational scope and a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The study sample will be made up of 70 nursing professionals. The technique that will be used is the survey and the instruments are a questionnaire and a checklist.

Este trabajo de investigación se realizará en el ámbito de enfermería neonatal y se enfocará en recoger datos e información que permitan mejorar el conocimiento y práctica de enfermería para el manejo del dolor de los neonatos dentro de la unidad de cuidados intermedios neonatales del Instituto Nacional Materno Perinatal. OBJETIVO: determinar cuál es la relación entre conocimiento y práctica de enfermería para el manejo del dolor en recién nacidos de la Unidad de Cuidados Intermedios Neonatales del Instituto Nacional Materno Perinatal – Lima, 2021. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: el estudio se desarrollará dentro del rigor del enfoque cuantitativo, con alcance descriptivo-correlacional y diseño no experimental, transversal. La muestra de estudio estará compuesta por 70 profesionales de enfermería. La técnica que se empleará es la encuesta y los instrumentos un cuestionario y una lista de cotejo.
