Self-care and quality of life in patients with hemodialysis in a hospital in Lima, 2024

Abstract

The objective of this study is: To establish the relationship between self-care and quality of life in patients with hemodialysis. Methodology: The research will have a quantitative approach, the hypothetical-deductive method, cross-sectional, correlational scope, and applied type, nonexperimental design. Population: The total population will be 95 patients with hemodialysis treatment in a hospital in Lima. The technique used will be the survey, the instrument will be the questionnaire, to measure self-care applied in Peru by Vásquez in the year 2022; The second quality of life variable will use a questionnaire applied by Carranza in 2016 in Peru. Both instruments meet the validity and reliability criteria. For the analysis and processing of the data, a database will first be created where the collected data will be placed, the statistical process will be developed, they will be interpreted using tables and graphs and finally, the degree of relationship between both variables will be evaluated using the coefficient of Spearman to verify the study hypotheses.

La investigación será de enfoque cuantitativo, el método hipotético deductivo, corte transversal, alcance correlacional, y tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental. Se tomará la población total 95 pacientes con tratamiento de hemodiálisis en un hospital de Lima. la técnica utilizada será la encuesta, el instrumento se utilizará el cuestionario, para medir autocuidado aplicado en Perú por Vásquez en el año 2022; la segunda variable calidad de vida se utilizará un cuestionario aplicado por Carranza en el año 2016 en Perú. Ambos instrumentos cumplen con los criterios de validez y confiabilidad. evaluará el grado de relación entre ambas variables mediante el coeficiente de Spearman para la comprobación de las hipótesis de estudio.
