Apgar test and psychomotor development of the child from 12 to 30 months of age who attends the José Hernán Soto Hospital Cadenillas de Chota, 2022

Abstract

Introduction. The first years of life are crucial, which is why research currently affirms that problems in adulthood originate in the first stages of life. The Apgar test measures the adaptation and vitality of the newborn after birth. Objective: Determine the relationship between the Apgar test scores at the first and fifth minute of life and the psychomotor development of the child from 12 to 30 months of age who attends the José Hernán Soto Hospital Cadenillas de Chota 2022. Materials and methods: Research with quantitative approach, non-experimental or observational design, transversal -retrospective. The population will be made up of 111 children between 12 and 30 months old attended in the 2022 growth and development clinic. The sample will be probabilistic and will be made up of 86 children. The STATS TM 2.0 program will be used to determine the sample. The technique to be used is documentary analysis for the Apgar Test and the Peruvian Child Development Assessment Test for psychomotor development, subsequently a base will be developed with the SPSS-V25 statistical program, the data analysis will be carried out using descriptive statistics, allowing an inferential analysis to be carried out that establishes the relationship of the variables; To contrast the statements, Perason's chi-square will be used.

Introducción. Los primeros años de vida son cruciales por lo que actualmente las investigaciones afirman que los problemas en la adultez se originan en las primeras etapas de la vida, el test de Apgar mide la adaptación y vitalidad del neonato tras su nacimiento. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre los puntajes del test de Apgar al primer y quinto minuto de vida y el desarrollo psicomotor del niño de 12 a 30 meses de edad que acude al Hospital José Hernán Soto Cadenillas de Chota 2022. Materiales y métodos: Investigación con enfoque cuantitativa, diseño no experimental u observacional, transversal -retrospectivo. La población estará conformada por 111 niños(as) comprendido entre 12 a 30 meses atendidos en el consultorio de crecimiento y desarrollo 2022. La muestra será probabilística y estará conformada por 86 niños, para determinar la muestra se usará el programa STATS TM 2.0. La técnica a usar es el análisis documental esto para el Test de Apgar y el test Peruano de Evaluación del Desarrollo del niño para el desarrollo psicomotor, posteriormente se elaborará una base con el programa estadístico SPSS- V25, el análisis de datos, será realizado mediante estadística descriptiva, permitiendo realizar un análisis inferencial que establezca la relación de las variables; para contrastar las afirmaciones se empleará el chi-cuadrado de Perason.
