Cardiovascular risk and occupational stress in nurses of the intensive care unit at the Huancayo Hospital - 2024

Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases represent a significant cause of mortality, constituting a major disease to address globally. This research plan addresses cardiovascular risk and job stress among nurses in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Huancayo Hospital, aiming to determine cardiovascular risks and job stress in ICU nurses at Huancayo Hospital-2024, based on the increasing prevalence of CVD and the need to understand and prevent these issues in the nursing workplace. The research is non-experimental and applied, employing a hypothetical-deductive approach; two validated instruments will be used, a questionnaire designed by Maslach to measure job stress and a cardiovascular risk calculator, both to be validated by experts. Permission will be sought from Huancayo Hospital before data collection, ensuring detailed study information and confidentiality. Informed consent will be obtained from ICU participants. Defined instruments will be applied, and data will be stored digitally. Descriptive statistical analysis will be conducted, followed by t-Student tests and Pearson correlations to assess variable relationships, using Microsoft Excel and R-Project

Se plantea la siguiente investigación sobre el riesgo cardiovascular y el estrés laboral en enfermeros de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital Huancayo, con el objetivo de determinar los riesgos cardiovasculares y el estrés laboral en enfermeras de UCI en el Hospital de Huancayo-2024, fundamentando en la creciente prevalencia de ECV y la necesidad de comprender y prevenir estos problemas en el ámbito laboral de enfermería. La investigación es no experimental de tipo aplicada, de tipo hipotético deductivo; se aplicarán dos instrumentos validados, cuestionario diseñado por Maslach para medir la variable estrés laboral y otro la calculadora de riesgo cardiovasculares, ambos serán validados por expertos. Se solicitará permiso al Hospital de Huancayo antes de recopilar datos, proporcionando información detallada sobre el estudio y garantizando la confidencialidad. Se obtendrá el consentimiento informado de los participantes de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos. Se aplicarán los instrumentos definidos y los datos se almacenarán digitalmente. Se realizará un análisis estadístico descriptivo, seguido de pruebas t-student y correlaciones de Pearson para evaluar la relación entre las variables, utilizando Microsoft Excel y R-Project.
