Level of knowledge and nursing practices on oxygen therapy in preterm newborns in the neonatal intensive care area of ​​a Public Hospital in Cercado de Lima, 2022

Abstract

The nursing professional is the one who provides care according to the needs of preterm and full-term newborns. To achieve the objectives of this study, the questionnaire and a checklist will be used. With this, the level of knowledge can be known, whether it is high, medium or low, and whether the nursing practice is good or poor. This will help for the development of subsequent research in various institutions within the country or abroad. Where all health professionals will benefit, since the results will help reduce the complications that the administration of oxygen therapy can cause and they can be further trained on the subject.

El Enfermería es quien brinda cuidados de acuerdo a las necesidades de los recién nacido pre términos y a términos. Para lograr los objetivos del presente estudio, se empleará el cuestionario y una lista de cotejo. Con ello se puede conocer el nivel de conocimiento, si es alto, medio o bajo, y si la práctica de enfermería es buena o deficiente. Así ayudara para el desarrollo de investigaciones posteriores en diversas instituciones dentro del país o en el exterior. Donde se beneficiará a todos los profesionales de la salud, ya que los resultados ayudaran a disminuir las complicaciones que pueda ocasionar la administración de oxigenoterapia y puedan capacitarse más sobre el tema.
