Level of knowledge about self-care of the diabetic foot and practice in patients of the Emergency Area of the National Hospital May 2, 2023

Abstract

The objective of this research project is to determine how the level of knowledge about self-care of the diabetic foot is related to the practices in patients in the emergency area of the national hospital May 2, 2023. Methodology: It corresponds to a study under a hypothetical deductive method , with a quantitative approach, applied type, nonexperimental and cross-sectional design, while the level was correlational, where 85 patients will participate as a sample; To collect the information, the survey was used as techniques and a questionnaire was used as an instrument, the first for the variable level of knowledge about diabetic foot self-care and for the variable diabetic foot self-care practices, both validated and reliable in the Peru, where a high level of acceptability is reflected in the case of validity applied by expert judgment and reliability had values of 0.760 and 0.780, demonstrating that it has a high level of reliability for its respective application. The results will be obtained in a descriptive way according to the established objectives determined according to the score achieved according to the high, regular and low level for variable 1 and for variable 2 good, regular, bad, likewise, cross tables and graphs will be built which will be interpreted and the hypothesis contrast will be made through the Rho Spearman statistic. The conclusions will be determined according to the objectives set.

El presente proyecto de investigación tiene por objetivo Determinar como el nivel de conocimiento sobre autocuidado del pie diabético se relaciona con las prácticas en pacientes del área de emergencia del hospital nacional 2 De Mayo, 2023. Metodología: Corresponde a un estudio bajo un método hipotetice deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicado, diseño no experimental y de corte transversal, mientras el nivel fue correlacional, donde se contará con la participación como muestra 85 pacientes; para recabar la información se empleó como técnicas la encuesta y como instrumento se hizo uso de un cuestionario, el primero para la variable nivel de conocimiento sobre autocuidado del pie diabético y para la variable prácticas de autocuidado del pie diabético, ambos validados y confiabilidades en el Perú, donde se refleja un nivel alto de aceptabilidad en el caso de la validez aplicada por juicio de expertos y la confiabilidad contó con valores de 0.760 y 0.780, demostrando que posee un nivel alto de fiabilidad para su respectiva aplicación. Los resultados se obtendrán en forma descriptiva de acuerdo a los objetivos planteados determinados de acuerdo al puntaje alcanzado según el nivel alto, regular y bajo para la variable 1 y para la variable 2 buena, regular, mala, asimismo, se construirán tablas cruzadas y gráficos los cuales serán interpretados y se hará el contraste de hipótesis a través del estadístico de Rho Spearman. Las conclusiones se determinarán de acuerdo a los objetivos planteados
