Coping strategies and their relationship with the level of daily stress in children aged 5 - 12 years with type 1 diabetes mellitus in isolation due to a pandemic. Lambayeque regional hospital, 2021

Abstract

Objective: Determine the relationship between coping and daily stress in children aged 5 - 12 years with type 1 diabetes mellitus in isolation due to the Lambayeque Regional Hospital 2021 pandemic. Methodology: The method is hypothetical deductive, with a quantitative approach, applied type with correlational design. non-experimental, the population will be made up of a total of 50 children selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria taken in the research. Data collection techniques and instruments: To collect information on the variable: Coping strategy, the survey technique will be used, with the instrument “Coping Strategies Inventory (CSI)” which consists of 41 items grouped into 8 dimensions. To collect information on the variable: Stress level, the survey technique will be used with the instrument called “IECI - Childhood Everyday Stress Inventory” that contains 22 items evaluating 3 dimensions. Procedures: The data will be collected in the area of ​​the endocrinology specialty - diabetes mellitus strategy of the Lambayeque Regional Hospital, during a period of one month. Once the information is obtained, the data will be processed in the SPSS v24 program statistics. Statistical analysis: descriptive statistics, frequencies (f) and proportions (%) will be applied to verify the correlation of the study where the data will be processed using the Spearman and Kendall statistics.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación del afrontamiento y el estrés cotidiano en niños de 5 - 12 años con diabetes mellitus tipo 1 en aislamiento por pandemia Hospital Regional Lambayeque 2021. Metodología: El método es hipotético deductivo, con un enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada con diseño correlacional no experimental, la población será conformada por un total de 50 niños seleccionados de acuerdo a los criterios de inclusión y exclusión tomadas en la investigación. Técnicas e instrumentos de recolección de datos: Para la recolección de información de la variable: Estrategia de afrontamientos será la técnica de la encuesta, con el instrumento “Inventario de estrategias de afrontamiento (CSI)” que consta de 41 ítems agrupadas en 8 dimensiones. Para la recolección de la información de la variable: Nivel de estrés será la técnica de la encuesta con el instrumento denominado “IECI - Inventario De Estrés Cotidiano Infantil” que contiene 22 ítems evaluando 3 dimensiones. Procedimientos: Los datos serán recolectados en el área de la especialidad de endocrinología - estrategia de diabetes mellitus del Hospital Regional Lambayeque, durante el periodo de un mes, una vez obtenida la información los datos se procesarán en los estadísticos del programa SPSS v24. Análisis estadístico: se aplicarán estadísticas descriptivas, frecuencias (f) y proporciones (%), para verificar la correlación del estudio donde los datos serán procesados mediante el estadístico Spearman y Kendall.
