Introduction: The sterilization process of laparoscopic surgery instruments represents a very important point to guarantee safe surgery; and it also involves not only having updated knowledge but also applying safe techniques and practices by nursing professionals Objective: Determine how the knowledge and practice of the sterilization process of laparoscopic surgery instruments by the nursing professional at the Huacho 2024 Regional Hospital are related. Methodology. Hypothetical-deductive study, with a quantitative approach; descriptive correlational design; and cross section. Its population will be made up of 23 nursing professionals from the Surgical Center. The technique to be used will be survey and observation. The instrument used for the study is the questionnaire and the checklist of Fernandez and Rosillo, which measure the variable knowledge and practice respectively. The validity of both instruments was 0.92 and 0.957 respectively. Its reliability represented by Cronbach's alpha was 0.864 and 0.893. In the processing and analysis of the data, the information obtained in Microsoft Excel will be transferred to the statistical package SPSS version 25.0. The relationship between the variables will be determined using Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient. The results will be presented by simple tables and bar graphs; for subsequent interpretation and discussion; ending with the conclusions and recommendations of the study.
Resumen
El proceso de esterilización del instrumental de cirugía laparoscópica representa un punto muy trascendental para garantizar una cirugía segura; e involucra además no solo contar con conocimientos actualizados sino aplicar las técnicas y prácticas seguras por parte de los profesionales de enfermería. Tiene como objetivo determinar cómo se relaciona el conocimiento y la práctica del proceso de esterilización del instrumental de cirugía laparoscópica por el profesional de enfermería. Es un estudio de tipo hipotético deductivo, con enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño descriptivo correlacional y de corte transversal. Su población estará constituida por 23 profesionales de enfermería de Centro quirúrgico, La técnica a emplear será la encuesta y la observación. El instrumento consignado para el estudio es el cuestionario y la lista de cotejo de Fernández y Rosillo, que miden la variable conocimiento y la práctica respectivamente. La validez de ambos instrumentos fue de 0.92 y 0.957 respectivamente. Su confiabilidad representada por el alfa de Cronbach fue de 0,864 y de 0,893
