Level of self-esteem and quality of life in patients with hemodialysis treatment at the specialized hemodialysis clinic in Barranca – 2023

Abstract

Hemodialysis is an alternative treatment that is used to treat chronic kidney disease, so it is important to see the relationship of self-esteem levels and quality of life in patients receiving the treatment. This disease affects 10% of the world's population, staying 4 hours connected to a hemodialysis machine affects the quality of life and the level of self-esteem. Objective: To determine the level of self-esteem and quality of life in patients with hemodialysis treatment in the specialized hemodialysis clinic of Huacho – 2023. Methodology: The method to be used is the hypothetical deductive, the quantitative approach will be used, non-experimental design, crosssection. The survey to be used, for self-esteem is carried out by Sandoval K. (2021) and for quality of life - WHOQOL- BREF modified by the author Ventura D. (2017). Tabulation and data analysis: the information to be collected will be recorded in an Excel program and for the measurement of both variables the chi-square was used.

La hemodiálisis es un tratamiento alternativo que es utilizado para tratar la enfermedad renal crónica, por lo que es importante ver la relación de los niveles de autoestima y la calidad de vida en pacientes que reciben el tratamiento. Esta enfermedad afecta a un 10% de la población mundial, el permanecer 4 horas conectado a una máquina de hemodiálisis afecta la calidad de vida y el nivel de autoestima. Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de autoestima y calidad de vida en pacientes con tratamiento de hemodiálisis en la clínica especializada en hemodiálisis de Barranca – 2023. Metodología: El método que se utilizara es el hipotético deductivo, se utilizara el enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño no experimental, de corte transversal. La encuesta que se utilizara, para la autoestima es realizada por Sandoval K. (2021) y para la calidad de vida - WHOQOL- BREF modificado por el autor Ventura D. (2017). Tabulación y análisis de datos: la información que se recolectará será registrado en un programa Excel y para la medición de ambas variables se utilizará el chi cuadrado.
