Introduction: It is of great concern for both private and public organizations to have a safety culture, since it is important to minimize the number of failures as adverse consequences for the care provided to the patient. Therefore, calculating them is essential in the creation of guidelines for their improvement, thus guaranteeing that the assistance provided, as well as the integrity and health of hospital patients, is of quality. Objective: to determine how the knowledge about the Culture of Patient Safety and Prevention of Adverse Events in Nurses of the Emergency Service of the Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital, Lima 2023. Method: The methodology is hypothetical deductive, of an applied type and with a quantitative approach. Similarly, in the research all nurses in the emergency service will be surveyed (census sample=80 nurses) and the Likert-type questionnaire “Medical Office Survey on Patient Safety Culture (MOSPS)” will be used to measure the culture of patient safety. and the MINSA Observation Guide for the prevention of adverse events for the second variable; very powerful instruments with high validity and reliability. The collected data will be processed in SPSS and analyzed using the Spearman correlation coefficient test.
Resumen
Objetivo: determinar cómo se relaciona el conocimiento sobre Cultura de Seguridad del Paciente y Prevención de Eventos Adversos en Enfermeros del Servicio de Emergencia del Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza, Lima 2023. Método: La metodología es hipotética deductiva, de tipo aplicado y con enfoque cuantitativo. Análogamente, en la investigación se encuestará a todos los enfermeros del servicio de emergencia (muestra censal=80 enfermeros) y se usará el cuestionario de tipo Likert “Medical Office Survery on Patient Safety Culture (MOSPS)” para medir la cultura de seguridad del paciente y la Guía de Observación para la prevención de eventos adversos del MINSA para la segunda variable; instrumentos muy potentes con alta validez y confiabilidad. Los datos recolectados serán procesados en SPSS y analizados mediante la prueba del coeficiente de correlación de Spearman
