Knowledge and preventive practice of the caregiver in pressure injure of the elderly in a home care program, Comas - 2024

Abstract

This research will be conducted with the objective of "Determining the relationship between knowledge and preventive practices of caregivers in pressure injuries of the elderly in the Home Care Program, Comas 2024." It is a study with a quantitative approach, at a correlational level; the study population consists of 80 caregivers of elderly users. The data collection instruments will be the questionnaire created by Lucero et al. in 2020 to measure the variable knowledge about the prevention of pressure injuries, which includes the dimensions of nutrition, skin assessment, mobilization, and hygiene. Additionally, a questionnaire designed to measure practices related to the prevention of pressure injuries will be used, authored by Ihuaraqui and Irarica in 2020. Both instruments have reliability: the knowledge instrument has an RK-21 coefficient of 0.810, and the practice instrument has an RK-21 alpha of 0.81. Validity was obtained through expert judges, with a value of 0.77 for the knowledge instrument, and for the practice instrument, it reached 92.3% through the Pearson correlation coefficient.

La presente investigación se realizará con el objetivo de “Determinar la relación que existe entre el conocimiento y la práctica preventiva del cuidador en lesiones por presión del adulto mayor de Programa de Atención Domiciliaria, Comas 2024”. Es una investigación que enmarca un enfoque cuantitativo, de nivel correlacional; 80 cuidadores de usuarios adultos mayores que son la población de estudio; los instrumentos de recolección de datos serán el cuestionario realizado por Lucero et al, en el 2020 para medir la variable conocimientos sobre la prevención de Lesiones por Presión el cual tiene como dimensiones la alimentación, valoración de la piel, movilización y la higiene, asimismo se utilizará como instrumento un cuestionario que mide la práctica sobre la prevención de Lesiones por Presión cuyas autoras son Ihuaraqui e Irarica en el 2020, ambos instrumentos cuentan con confiabilidad el instrumento del conocimiento posee un RK-21 de 0,810 y el instrumento práctica presenta un alfa de RK-21 de 0,81 y validez fue obtenida por jueces de experto teniendo un 0,77 por R de fin respecto al instrumento que mide el conocimiento, y respecto al instrumento que mide las prácticas obtuvieron un 92.3% mediante el coeficiente de Pearson.
