Self-care and the quality of life of the patient with hemodialysis therapy at the Comas Hemodialysis Center, Lima

Abstract

Objective: "To determine the relationship between self-care and the quality of life of the patient with hemodialysis therapy at the Comas Hemodialysis Center, Lima." Population: The population to be analyzed will be the patients with hemodialysis therapy, treated at the Comas Hemodialysis Center, in a total of 90. Sample: It will be made up of 90 patients on hemodialysis therapy, a census-type sampling will be used, since the population is a small and flexible size. Methodological design: An applied research, hypothetical-deductive, observational, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional method will be used. Instruments: To evaluate the "self-care" variable, the questionnaire prepared by Vera and Zamora in 2022 will be used, reliable with Cronbach's Alpha of 0.884 and to evaluate the "quality of life" variable, a modified and adapted questionnaire will be used. by Alarcón in 2017, with Cronbach's Alpha reliability 0.98. The technique to collect the information will be the survey. Data processing and analysis: To carry out the analysis, both descriptive statistical tools will be used, which will allow the elaboration of frequency tables and graphs and inferential that will allow the test of the hypothesis raised in the investigation.

Objetivo: “Determinar la relación entre el autocuidado y la calidad de vida del paciente con terapia de hemodiálisis del Centro de hemodiálisis Comas, Lima”. Población: La población a analizar serán los pacientes con terapia de hemodiálisis, atendidos en el Centro de Hemodiálisis Comas, en un total de 90. Muestra: Estará conformado por 90 pacientes en terapia de hemodiálisis, se empleará un muestreo tipo censal, ya que la población es un tamaño pequeño y flexible. Diseño metodológico: Se usará una investigación de tipo aplicada, método hipotético- deductivo, observacional, descriptivo, correlacional y trasversal. Instrumentos: Para evaluar de la variable “autocuidado”, se utilizará el cuestionario elaborado por Vera y Zamora en el 2022, confiable con Alfa de Cronbach de 0,884 y para evaluar de la variable “calidad de vida”, se usará un cuestionario modificado y adaptado por Alarcón en el 2017, con confiabilidad Alpha de Cronbach 0,98. La técnica para recolectar la información será la encuesta. Procesamiento y análisis de datos: Para realizar el análisis se usará herramientas estadísticas tanto descriptiva, que permitirá la elaboración de tablas frecuencia y gráficas e inferencial que permitirá realizar la prueba de la hipótesis planteada en la investigación.
