Nursing care and satisfaction of relatives of patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Hipólito Unanue Hospital, Lima 2023

Abstract

The cases that are treated in the intensive care service imply a multiplicity of demands and challenges, since the condition of the patients is extremely serious. This panorama makes it necessary for nursing care aimed at meeting the needs of patients and constant communication with their families, since the situation they are going through can generate many concerns, anxiety and even depression. However, it has been possible to detect that in the Hipólito Unanue hospital, there are still many gaps in nursing care, a situation that negatively affects the satisfaction of the relatives of the patients treated. OBJECTIVE: to determine the relationship between nursing care and satisfaction of the relatives of patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Hipólito Unanue Hospital in Lima, 2023. MATERIALS AND METHODS: it will have a quantitative approach, a non-experimental - cross-sectional design and a descriptive - correlational scope. 123 people will participate. The technique will be the survey and two questionnaires will be applied.

Los casos que se atienden en el servicio de cuidados intensivos implican una multiplicidad de exigencias y retos, pues la condición de los pacientes es de suma gravedad. Este panorama hace necesario de cuidados enfermeros orientados a atender las necesidades de los pacientes y de una comunicación constante con sus familiares, ya que la situación que atraviesan puede generarles muchas inquietudes, ansiedad e incluso depresión. Sin embargo, se ha podido detectar que en el hospital Hipólito Unanue, aún existen muchas brechas en el cuidado de enfermería, situación que redunda negativamente en la satisfacción de los familiares de los pacientes atendidos. OBJETIVO: determinar la relación entre cuidados de enfermería y satisfacción de los familiares de pacientes internados en la unidad de cuidados intensivos del Hospital Hipólito Unanue de Lima, 2023. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: tendrá enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental - transversal y alcance descriptivo - correlacional. Participarán 123 personas. La técnica será la encuesta y se aplicarán dos cuestionarios
