Efficacy of neonatal screening in the detection of congenital diseases of the newborn.

Abstract

The study type is a Quantitative Systematic Review, constituted by a population of 39 articles, with a selected sample of 10. The instruments used were databases such as Epistemonikos, Scielo, Cochrane Plus, Pubmed, Medline, Cochrane Library, British Medical Journal, PubMed, Lancet, Wiley Online Library. The GRADE system was used for the quality of evidence. The sample of our systematic review consisted of 10 articles, all of which (100%) responded to our objective of systematizing and analyzing the evidence on the effectiveness of neonatal screening for the detection of congenital diseases in newborns. All of our articles (100%) demonstrate the effectiveness of neonatal screening in the detection of congenital diseases in newborns.

El tipo de estudio es de Revisión Sistemática cuantitativa, constituido por una población de 39 artículos cuya muestra seleccionada consta de 10. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron bases de datos de: Epistemonikos, Scielo, Cochrane Plus, Pubmed, Medline, Cochrane Library, British Medical Journal, PubMed, Lancet, Wiley Online Library. Para la calidad de evidencia se utilizó el sistema GRADE. La muestra de nuestra investigación sistemática fue de 10 artículos, de los cuales el 100% de las investigaciones encontradas responden a nuestro objetivo de sistematizar analizar las evidencias sobre la eficacia del tamizaje neonatal en la detección de enfermedades congénitas del recién nacido. El 100% de nuestros artículos demuestra la eficacia del tamizaje neonatal en la detección de enfermedades congénitas del recién nacido.
