The purpose of the study is "Determining how knowledge is related to nursing practices to prevent pneumonia in patients with mechanical ventilation in the ICU of a clinic in Lima, 2023", the study methodology will be quantitatively oriented, hypothetical deductive method, non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional design; The sample will be made up of 102 nursing graduates who work in the ICU of the aforementioned clinic, two instruments will be used, the first will be a questionnaire to measure knowledge about measures to prevent pneumonia in patients with MV, from the year 2022, belonging to the author Juan Durán (28) and the second instrument will be a Checklist, from the year 2022 authored by José Álvarez (40); applied the first through the survey technique and the second through observation; Likewise, both instruments present the pertinent validation, both were subjected to content validity through expert judgment where they indicated that they were applicable; In the same way, they have a reliability index through the KR-20 statistician and whose results were 0.92 and 0.83; For the analysis of the results, it will be carried out considering the frequency tables of levels for both variables in their descriptive analysis, as well as for the hypothesis tests, first the normality test will be carried out and with this it will be determined with the correlation statistic. the hypotheses to give answers to the objectives of the study.
Resumen
Objetivo: Conocimientos, ventilación mecánica, enfermería, cuidados. “Determinar como el conocimiento se relaciona con las prácticas de enfermería para prevenir la neumonía en pacientes con ventilación mecánica en UCI de una clínica de Lima, 2023”, la metodología del estudio será de orientación cuantitativa, método hipotético deductivo, diseño no experimental, correlacional y transversal; la muestra estará conformada por 102 licenciados de enfermería que laboran en UCI de la referida clínica, se utilizaran dos instrumentos, el primero será un cuestionario para medir los conocimientos sobre medidas para prevenir la neumonía en pacientes con VM, del año 2022, perteneciente al autor Juan Durán (28) y el segundo instrumento será una Lista de chequeo, del año 2022 de autoría de José Álvarez (40); aplicados el primero mediante la técnica
