Level of knowledge and practices on exclusive breastfeeding in first-time mothers of the neonatology service of the Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima 2022

Abstract

Objective: Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practice on exclusive breastfeeding in first-time mothers of the neonatology service of the Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho Lima 2022. Materials and methods: The approach to be used will be quantitative, with a correlational level and a non-experimental design, a descriptive-cross-sectional level will also be taken. The population will be made up of 65 first-time mothers who attended the neonatology service of the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital. The technique to be used will be the survey and observation. The instrument will be the questionnaire for the variable level of knowledge of breastfeeding, with 20 items, and for the observation sheet for the variable breastfeeding practices.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y practica sobre la lactancia materna exclusiva en madres primerizas del servicio de neonatología del Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho Lima 2022. Materiales y métodos: El enfoque a emplear será es el cuantitativo, con un nivel correlacional y un diseño no experimental, también se tomará un nivel el descriptivo-transversal. La población estará conformada por 65 madres primerizas que asistieron al servicio de neonatología del Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho. La técnica a emplear será la encuesta y la observación. Como instrumento será el cuestionario para la variable nivel de conocimientos de lactancia materna, contando con 20 ítems y para la hoja de observación para la variable practicas sobre de la lactancia materna.
