Family functionality and quality of life of patients with hemodialysis treatment at the Tingo Maria Clinic, Lima ‐ 2023

Abstract

Introduction: The life of a patient with Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT), in this case hemodialysis, is drastically affected, altering their emotional and physical health and therefore the relationship with the family can be altered, influencing the quality of life of the patient. Objective: Ro determine how family functionality is related to the quality of life of patients with hemodialysis treatment at the Tingo Maria Lima Clinic – 2023. Methods: it is a hypothetical – deductive applied, quantitative, correlational, and cross-sectional study. The census sample is 90 patients from the Tingo Maria Clinic. The valid and reliable instruments to apply are the Family APGAR for the Family Functionality variable and the KDQOL-36 for the Quality-of-Life variable. The data will be processed and tabulated in SPSS 25.0 and Excel 2019.

La vida de un paciente con Terapia de Reemplazo Renal (TRR), en este caso la hemodiálisis, se ve afectada drásticamente, altera su salud emocional y física y por lo tanto la relación con la familia se puede ver alterada influyendo en la calidad de vida del paciente. Objetivo: Determinar como la funcionalidad familiar se relaciona con la calidad de vida de pacientes con tratamiento de hemodiálisis de la Clínica Tingo Maria lima – 2023. Métodos: es un estudio hipotético‐ deductivo aplicado, cuantitativo, correlacional y transversal. La muestra censal es de 90 pacientes de la Clínica Tingo María. Los instrumentos válidos y confiables para aplicar son, para la variable Funcionalidad familiar el APGAR Familiar y para la variable Calidad de vida el KDQOL‐36. Los datos serán procesados y tabulados en SPSS 25.0 y Excel 2019
