Level of work stress and work performance of health personnel of the emergency service in times of Covid of the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases, Lima 2022.

Abstract

Nursing is a very sensitive and demanding occupation, nurses are exposed to different situations that can influence their physical and mental health. Work stress in nursing is very common, that is, it affects physically, mentally and socially. These factors lead to high levels of stress among nurses, which lead to negative consequences such as: delay or absence from work, depression, fatigue, and poor job performance. Objective: To determine the relationship between work stress and job performance of health personnel in the emergency service in times of covid at the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases, Lima 2022. Methods: The approach was quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational design. The population will be made up of nursing professionals from the emergency area of the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases, being 100 in total. The instruments will be the work stress scale (NSS) and a validated questionnaire for job performance. The results will allow the implementation of improvement actions in the institution.

La enfermería es una ocupación muy sensible y exigente, los enfermeros se encuentran expuestos a las diferentes situaciones que pueden influir en su salud física y mental. El estrés laboral en enfermería es muy común, es decir afecta física, mental y socialmente. Estos factores conducen al alto nivel de estrés entre las enfermeras, que conducen a consecuencias negativas tales como: retraso o ausencia en el trabajo, depresión, fatiga, y un bajo desempeño laboral. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre estrés laboral y desempeño laboral del personal de salud del servicio de emergencia en tiempos de covid del Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplásicas, Lima 2022. Métodos: el enfoque fue cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, transversal y correlacional. la población estará conformada por los Enfermería del área de emergencias del Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplásicas, siendo en total 100. Los instrumentos serán la escala de estrés laboral (NSS) y el un cuestionario validado para el desempeño laboral. Los resultados permitirán la implementación de acciones de mejora en la institución.
