Knowledge and practice of the nurse about biosafety in peripheral intravenous line cannulation in the neonatal ICU of a national hospital Lima Norte 2022

Abstract

The present work will be carried out around the neonatal nursing environment and seeking to reflect a situation in which the nurse is directly related, in one of the most common invasive procedures in the Neonatal ICU, the objective is established to: Relate knowledge and nurse practices on biosafety in venous cannulation at the peripheral level in the neonatal ICU of a national hospital Lima Norte, 2022. The methodology will be an applied research with a quantitative approach, it has a hypothetical - deductive method, non-experimental, descriptive and bivariate correlational. The population will be made up of Neonatal Intensive Care Specialist Nurses who work in the Hospitalization and Neonatal ICU area of ​​the aforementioned hospital in the planned period. The instrument to be used will be the questionnaire for the knowledge variable and a check list for the practical variable. The collection of information will be direct observation for both instruments, once obtained, these will be processed through a SPSS v.25 statistical package to corroborate the correlation that occurs in both variables. In conclusion, the results and recommendations will be made known, once the relationship that exists between both variables has been determined.

El presente trabajo será realizado en torno al ambiente de la enfermería neonatal y buscando reflejar una situación en la que la enfermera se encuentra directamente relacionada, en uno de los procedimientos invasivos más comunes en la UCI Neonatal, se establece el objetivo de: Relacionar conocimientos y prácticas de la enfermera sobre bioseguridad en canalización venosa a nivel periférico en UCI neonatal de un hospital nacional Lima Norte, 2022. La metodología será una investigación aplicada de enfoque cuantitativo, tiene un método hipotético - deductivo, de diseño no experimental, descriptivo y correlacional bivariable. La población será conformada por Enfermeras Especialistas en Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales que laboran en el área de Hospitalización y UCI Neonatal del referido hospital en el periodo planificado. El instrumento a utilizar será el cuestionario, para la variable conocimientos y un chek list para la variable práctica. La recolección de información será de observación directa para ambos instrumentos, una vez obtenidos, éstos pasarán a ser encausados a través de un paquete estadístico SPSS v.25 para corroborar la correlación que se de en ambas variables. En conclusión, los resultados y recomendaciones se darán a conocer, una vez determinada la relación que existe entre ambas variables.
