Workload and quality of care of nurses in patients of the intensive care unit of a clinic in Lima, 2024

Abstract

The objective of the study will be to determine the relationship between workload and the quality of care of nurses in intensive care patients in a clinic in Lima, 2024; it will be non-experimental and correlational level, the assigned sample will correspond to 80 ICU nurses; as instruments, Yolanda Jiménez's Workload questionnaire of 58 items and four dimensions and Alejandra Failoc's Quality of Care questionnaire of 47 items and six dimensions will be used, both have the requirement of validity and reliability, both were submitted to the Judgment. of experts being approved for its application, also the reliability through Cronbach's Alpha of the first questionnaire was 0.79 and of the second an index of 0.88; to obtain the results, it is planned to analyze the data in SPSS v.26, which is a statistical software that will allow the analysis to be carried out at a descriptive and inferential level. For this last process, it will be done under a correlation coefficient, first considering the type of normality that present the data, the findings are focused on responding to the stipulated objectives and proposing solution improvements in order to improve the quality of care for patients as well as nursing practice.

Objetivo “determinar la relación entre la carga laboral y la calidad de cuidado de las enfermeras en pacientes de la unidad de cuidados intensivos de una clínica de Lima”; será no experimental y nivel correlacional, la muestra asignada corresponderá a 80 enfermeras de UCI; como instrumentos se utilizarán los cuestionario de Carga laboral de Yolanda Jiménez de 58 ítems y cuatro dimensiones y el cuestionario de Calidad de cuidado de Alejandra Failoc de 47 ítems y seis dimensiones, ambos cuentan con el requisito de validez y confiabilidad, ambos fueron sometidos al Juicio de expertos quedando aprobado para su aplicación, asimismo la confiabilidad por medo del Kr-20 del primer cuestionario fue 0.79 y el Alfa de Cronbach del segundo un índice de 0.88; para obtener los resultados se tiene previsto analizar los datos en el SPSS v.26, el mismo que es un software estadístico que permitirá realizar el análisis a nivel descriptivo e inferencial, para este último proceso se hará bajo coeficiente correlacional, considerando primero el tipo de normalidad que presenten los datos, los hallazgos están enfocados en dar respuesta a los objetivos estipulados y proponer mejoras de solución en pro de mejorar la calidad de cuidado en los pacientes.
