Quality of nursing care and level of satisfaction of oncology patients at Hospital Cayetano Heredia in the period from January to March 2022.

Abstract

Objective: To describe the relationship between the quality of nursing care and the level of satisfaction of oncology patients at Cayetano Heredia Hospital, 2022. Materials and Methods: The research follows the deductive and analytical method, with a quantitative approach. It is basic and descriptive in nature. The population consists of 100 oncology patients at Cayetano Heredia Hospital. The survey technique was used, and the instrument applied for the variable Quality of Nursing Care is based on Jean Watson's NCA, which includes general instructions and 39 items using a 3-point Likert scale. For the Patient Satisfaction variable, the tool developed by Arteaga was used, consisting of 23 items with values assigned from 0 to 3. The content validity was reviewed by experts, and the reliability was tested using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, obtaining reliable values < 1 for both variables. The data processing and analysis will be carried out using a coding table and a matrix table. For the results, frequency tables or graphs will be used, followed by analysis and interpretation based on the theoretical framework presented in the research study.

Objetivo: Describir la relación que existe entre la calidad de los cuidados de enfermería y el nivel de satisfacción del paciente oncológico del Hospital Cayetano Heredia, 2022. Material y metodo: La investigacion responde al método deductivo y analítico, tiene enfoque cuantitativo, es básica, descriptiva, la poblacion que lo constituye son de 100 pacientes oncológicos en el Hospital Cayetano Heredia; se utilizó la técnica de encuesta y el instrumento que se aplicará para la variable Calidad de cuidados de enfermería esta construido en base al NCA de Jean Watson, el cual describe instrucciones generales y 39 items en escala de Lickert de 3 puntos; asimismo para la variable Satisfaccion del Paciente elaborada por Arteaga constituida por 23 items asignando valores de 0 al 3, su validez de contenido fue sometida a juicio de expertos y la confiabilidad fue aplicada el coeficiente de alfa de crombach obteniendo valores confiables < a 1 para ambas variables. El procesamiento y analisis de datos se realizara previamente con tabla de codigos y tabla de matriz, y para los resultados se utilizarán tablas de frecuencia o graficos seguidamente el analisis e interpretacion sustentados con la base teorica expresada en el estudio de investigacion.
