Resumen
This research work is highly relevant since pressure injuries (PPL) are currently still a common problem worldwide in all settings where hospital care is provided. Patients hospitalized in Intensive Care Units (ICU) are one of the populations most vulnerable to developing LPP compared to other services. Pressure injuries, like other infections associated with health care, are an indicator of quality and safety of care, this implies the development of strategies and preventive measures, since they are 95% preventable by providing continuous and effective care. The nursing staff plays a fundamental role, being of vital importance to have the adequate knowledge to guarantee such preventable actions. The objective of this research was: "To determine the relationship between the knowledge and practice of nursing professionals in the care of pressure injuries in the Intensive Care Unit of the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins National Hospital, 2023". Materials and Method: It will be hypothetical - deductive, with a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental design, of a transversal type and a descriptive - correlational scope. The sample is made up of 109 nurses (os) who work in the Intensive Care Unit of the Rebagliati Martins National Hospital. The survey technique will be applied; Two instruments will be used, the questionnaire to measure the knowledge variable and an observation guide to measure the practice variable.
