Nursing care and prevention of complications in patients undergoing chemotherapy, Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen hospital, Lima – Peru, 2022

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to “Determine how nursing care is related to the prevention of complications in patients undergoing chemotherapy at the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen hospital, Lima – Peru, 2022.” Methodology: We will work using the hypothetical deductive method, using statistics and the applied level of research based on a non-experimental design, and with the participation of 80 patients who are undergoing therapy for cancer treatment. Regarding the data collection technique, the survey will be used and as an instrument 2 validated and reliable questionnaires, which work with a Likert scale; Likewise, the measurement of the nursing care variable will be with good, average and bad levels; and the prevention of complications will be worked with the optimal, regular and deficient levels. In the case of hypothesis testing, Spearman's Rho correlation test will be used with a confidence of 95%, with which the conclusions of the study can be established.

El presente estudio tiene como propósito “Determinar de qué manera los cuidados de enfermería se relacionan con la prevención de complicaciones en pacientes sometidos a quimioterapia del hospital Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen, Lima– Perú, 2022.” Metodología: Se trabajará mediante el método hipotético deductivo, utilizando la estadística y el nivel aplicado de investigación basándose en un diseño no experimental, y con la participación de 80 pacientes que están en terapia para el tratamiento de cáncer. En cuanto a la técnica de recolección de datos se utilizará la encuesta y como instrumento 2 cuestionarios validados y confiables, los cuales trabajan con una escala de Likert; asimismo, la medición de la variable cuidado de enfermería será con los niveles bueno, regular y malo; y la prevención de complicaciones se trabajará con los niveles óptimo, regular y deficiente. En el caso de la comprobación de hipótesis se hará uso de la prueba de correlación de Rho de Spearman con una confianza del 95%, con lo cual se podrá establecer las conclusiones del estudio.
