Burnout syndrome and job satisfaction in nursing staff in a clinic in Lima 2023

Abstract

The objective of the following study is to determine how burnout syndrome is related to job satisfaction in the nursing staff of the hospital tower of the Clínica Internacional, lima center 2023. Materials and methods: this is a quantitative, basic, non-experimental or observational, correlational, cross-sectional study. From a population of 81 nurses in the health area. The instruments used were: for burnout syndrome, "MBI- Human Services Survey", created by Masclach, and for job satisfaction, "Font roja de satisfacción laboral", created by Aranza, both instruments are valid and adequate for the proposed research work. Result: In the burnout syndrome, a high rate was demonstrated at the level of the personal fulfillment dimension in relation to job satisfaction at 49.1% and its p-value of 0.398, however, the predominant dimension was depersonalization in nurses concurring at the medium level in the two variables with 53.6%. Conclusions: There is a minimal functional and significant relationship between burnout syndrome and job satisfaction. In the depersonalization dimension, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected in a minimum positive way (Rho= 0.271) in the nursing staff in clinic Lima center 2023. On the other hand, there is no relationship in the dimensions.

El objetivo del siguiente estudio es determinar como el síndrome de burnout se relaciona con la satisfacción laboral en el personal de enfermería de una Clínica de Lima 2023. Materiales y métodos: es un estudio cuantitativo, de tipo básica, no experimental u observacional, correlacional de corte transversal. De una población de 81 enfermeras del área de salud. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron: en síndrome de burnout, “MBI- Human Services Survey”, creado por Masclach y por satisfacción laboral es “Font roja de satisfacción laboral”, creada por Aranza, ambos instrumentos son válidos y adecuados para el trabajo de investigación propuesto. Resultado: En el síndrome de burnout se demostró una alta tasa a nivel de la dimensión de realización personal con relación a la satisfacción laboral en 49,1% y su p- valor de 0.398, sin embargo, la dimensión predominante fue despersonalización en las enfermeras concurriendo en el nivel medio en las dos variables con un 53.6%. Conclusiones: Existe una relación funcional y significativa mínima entre el síndrome de burnout y la satisfacción laboral. En la dimensión de despersonalización es cual rechaza a la hipótesis nula (Ho) de forma positiva mínima (Rho=0,271) en el personal de enfermería de la clínica de Lima 2023. Por otro lado, en las dimensiones no hay relación.
