Knowledge about the care of the polytraumatized patient and nursing practice in the emergency service of a clinic in Lima 2023

Abstract

According to statistics from world organizations, by the end of 2020 it is estimated that the number of traffic fatalities will increase to more than five million per year, contributing up to 20% of the world's health problems in terms of the prevalence of polytraumatized patients. Hence the importance of continuous training of nurses in this area of health care. Therefore, the general objective of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge about the care of polytraumatized patients and nursing practice in the emergency department of a clinic in Lima, 2023. Materials and Methods: The present research will be conducted according to a hypothetical-deductive method, quantitative, cross-sectional, non-experimental and correlational approach, which will allow obtaining the expected results according to the proposed objectives. The population will be made up of 80 nurses. To measure the two variables, the technique to be used will be the survey/observation and a questionnaire/observation guide, which will be validated by the work of Tineo (2022), whose reliability will be estimated by Cronbach's Alpha test, receiving a value of 0.863 for variable 1, and 0.854 for variable 2. Using Excel and statistical software (SPSS) and to statistically analyze the relationship between the two significant variables, Spearman's Rho will be used.

Según estadísticas de organizaciones mundiales, para finales de 2020 se estima haya aumentado a más de cinco millones de víctimas mortales al año por accidentes de tránsito, contribuyendo hasta en un 20% a los problemas sanitarios mundiales en cuanto a la prevalencia de pacientes politraumatizado. de allí la importancia del adiestramiento continuo del personal de enfermería en esta área de la salud por ello, este estudio se ha planteado como objetivo general: determinar cuál es la relación entre los conocimientos sobre el cuidado del paciente politraumatizado y la practica de Enfermería en el servicio de emergencia de una clínica de Lima, 2023. Materiales y métodos: la presente investigación se realizará de acuerdo método hipotético-deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, transversal, no experimental y de alcance correlacional, la cual permitirá obtener resultados esperados de acuerdo a los objetivos planteados. La población estaría conformada por 80 enfermeros (as). Para medir las dos variables la técnica a utilizarse será la encuesta/ y la observación y los instrumentos un cuestionario y una guía de observación.
