Quality of nursing care in users of the intensive care unit of the national hospital Dos de Mayo, 2021

Abstract

Introduction: Quality of care is one of the most cited dimensions of public health policy and currently holds a prominent place on the agenda of authorities responsible for global public health.

Material and method: This research is carried out following the procedures of a quantitative approach. Regarding the study design, it is a descriptive and cross-sectional investigation. The population will consist of users of the ICU service (patients and their families), and the study will involve all patients who are discharged from the ICU during the month of February 2021. The opinions of family members will also be included. A total of 80 participants are expected, based on the selection criteria for involvement: ICU service users who have recovered, and who are oriented in space, time, and person. The technique to be used will be the survey, and the instrument will be the SERVQUAL questionnaire, which includes two questionnaires: one corresponding to expectations and the other to perceptions. Both questionnaires will evaluate the quality of service based on user satisfaction across five dimensions, with responses rated on a 5-point Likert scale.

Introducción: la calidad de la atención es una de las dimensiones de la política de salud pública más citados y actualmente ocupa un lugar relevante en la agenda de las autoridades que velan por la salud publica global. Material y Método. la presente investigación es realizada teniendo en cuenta los procedimientos del enfoque cuantitativo. en referencia al diseño del estudio, este es una investigación descriptiva y transversal. la población estará constituida por los usuarios del servicio de UCI (pacientes y familiar), se plantea trabajar con todos los pacientes que sean dados de alta del servicio de UCI durante el mes de febrero del 2021 Se incluirá la opinión también del familiar. Se ha previsto contar con 80 participantes, bajo los criterios de selección para involucrar participantes son: Usuarios de servicio UCI ya recuperados, los cuales deben estar orientados en espacio, tiempo y persona. la técnica a utilizarse será la encuesta y el instrumento el cuestionario SERVQUAL, el cual consta de dos cuestionarios uno de ellos correspondiente a las expectativas, el otro cuestionario corresponde a percepciones, ambos evaluaron la calidad de servicio según la satisfacción del usuario en cinco dimensiones cuyas respuestas tuvieron 5 alterativas en escala tipo Lickert.
