Efficacy of tetravalent vaccine seroprotection compared to bivalent vaccine in the prevention of cervical cancer.

Abstract

Objectives: To analyze the evidence on the effectiveness of seroprotection of the tetravalent vaccine compared to the bivalent vaccine in the prevention of cervical cancer. Materials and Methods: The study design was qualitative, observational, and prospective. The search was conducted in articles with complete texts, and the study population consisted of 24 articles, with a sample of 10 from the period 2013 to 2017. Included articles included randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and cohort studies regarding the seroprotection of the vaccine in preventing cervical cancer. Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 100% showed significant efficacy in the seroprotection of the tetravalent vaccine compared to the bivalent vaccine. Conclusions: 90% of the studies related to the tetravalent vaccine compared to the bivalent vaccine in the prevention of cervical cancer were effective due to the reduction in the incidence of HPV, the development of prophylactic vaccines, an acceptable safety profile, monitoring, and a positive impact in achieving useful coverage.

Materiales y métodos: El tigo de investigation fue cr alitativo y el diseno de esttidio fue revision sisten1atica obserVacional, prospectiva, ]a busqueda fue consultada en articulos con texto con pleto, la goblacién de estLidio fue Je 24 artlculos y una muesti a de 10, del periodo 2013 a12017; se incluyeron articulos como ensayo de control aleatorizaclo, revisiones sistematicas, metaana]isis, cohorte en la seroproteccién de la vacuna en prevenir el céncer de cuello uterino. Resultados: Se muestra que del total de 10 articulos revisados eI 100% de estos, muestran eficacia significativa en la seroproteccidn de la vacuna tetravalente comparado con la vacuna bivalente. Conclusiones: EJ 90% de los estudios relacionado a la vacuna tetravalente comparado con la vacuna bivalente en la prevencion de cancer de cue Ilo uterino son eficaces, debido a que se redujo la incidencia de VPH, desarrollo vacunas profjlacticas, perfil de seguridacl aceptable, vigilancia e ifrpacto positivo para Ilegar a una cobertura til y el 10% conc)uye que la vacuna solo cubre algunos tipos de VPH de alto riesgo.
