Knowledge of the nurse in the management of pain in critically ill neonates and its relationship with attitude

Abstract

Objective: Establish the link between the knowledge of nursing staff in pain management in critically ill neonates and the attitude; in a Private Clinic in Lima, 2021. Material and method: The research responds to the deductive method, has a quantitative approach, is basic and transversal, with a non-experimental correlational design, the population that constitutes it makes a total of 60 nurses who work in the neonatal intensive care unit and the intermediate care unit in the different work shifts of a private clinic in Lima, the tool technique developed by Quezada was used to calculate how nursing professionals define pain. In the newborn, this has a lot to do with the actions of the specialist, with the attitude of the nursing staff to detect pain, its content validity was made and it was submitted to expert judgment, reliability was found by applying the reliability coefficient Crombach's alpha obtained a value of 0.80 for the questionnaire on the level of knowledge and 0.85 for the scale of nurses' attitudes towards neonatal pain, which indicated excellent reliability. For this research, data collection will be carried out using instruments validated through observation. For this purpose, consent for this research project will be obtained from the Ethics Committee of the Norbert Wiener University.

Objetivo: Establecer el vínculo entre el conocimiento del personal de enfermería en el manejo del dolor en neonatos críticamente enfermos y la actitud; en una Clínica Privada en Lima, 2021. de Material y método: La investigación responde al método deductivo, tiene enfoque cuantitativo, es de tipo básica y de tipo transversal, de diseño correlacional no experimental, la población que lo constituye hacen un total de 60 enfermeras que laboran en la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales y la unidad de cuidados intermedios en los diferentes turnos de trabajo de una clínica privada de Lima , se utilizó la técnica de la herramienta desarrollada por Quezada que calcula cómo los profesionales de enfermería definen el dolor en el recién nacido, esto tiene mucho que ver con las acciones del especialista, con la actitud del personal de enfermería para detectar el dolor, se hizo su validez de contenido y se sometió a juicio de expertos, se encontró confiabilidad aplicando el coeficiente de confiablidad alfa de crombach obteniendo un valor de 0.80 para el cuestionario sobre el nivel de conocimientos y 0.85 para la escala de actitudes de las enfermeras hacia el dolor neonatal el que indicó excelente confiabilidad. Para la presente investigación se realizará la recolección de datos mediante los instrumentos validados a través de la observación, para ello se obtendrá el consentimiento del presente proyecto de investigación del Comité de ética de la Universidad Norbert Wiener .
