Quality of life of patients with tuberculosis in the infant health centers and the San Martin de Porres base, 2019

Abstract

Objective: The present study sought to determine the "Quality of life of tuberculosis patients at the Infantas Health Centers and Base San Martin De Porres, 2019". Materials and methods: The study is of a quantitative type, with information that is susceptible to being measured and statistically analyzed. The method used is descriptive, with a cross-sectional section. The population is made up of 80 adult patients who suffer from TB and who receive their medication and who belong to the CS "Infantas" and "Base San Martin". The instrument used in the present research was the Health questionnaire SF-36 that qualifies the variable of "Quality of Life", which consists of 36 items that are divided into eight different dimensions that evaluate the health status. In this study, the survey technique will be used and as an instrument the Health questionnaire SF-36 that qualifies the variable of "Quality of Life". Results: The distribution of Quality of Life was as follows: 26% Low quality of life, 50% Medium quality of life and 24% High quality of life. Regarding the dimensions, Physical Function (56%), Body Pain (84%), Vitality (55%), Social Function (48%), Emotional Role (71%) and Mental Health (78%), the Medium Quality of Life predominated. The General Health dimension obtained (59%) High Quality of Life, and the dimension with the lowest quality of life was the Physical Role (57%). Conclusions: The most representative quality of life was the Medium, since in five dimensions a Medium Quality of Life was presented. The dimension with the highest Quality of Life was General Health and the dimension with the lowest Quality of Life was Physical Role.

Objetivo: en el presente estudio se buscó determinar la “Calidad de vida de los pacientes con tuberculosis de los Centros de Salud Infantas y Base San Martin de Porres, 2019”. Materiales y métodos: El estudio es de un tipo cuantitativo, con información que son susceptibles a ser medidos y poder ser analizados estadísticamente. El método realizado es de tipo descriptivo, con corte transversal. la población está conformada por 80 pacientes adultos que padecen la TBC y que reciben su medicación y que pertenecen a los C.S. “Infantas” y “Base San Martin”. El instrumento utilizado en la presente investigación fue el cuestionario Salud SF-36 que califa la variable de “Calidad de Vida”, que consta de 36 ítems que está divido en ocho dimensiones distintas que evalúan el estado de Salud en este estudio, se empleará la técnica de encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario de Salud SF-36 que califa la variable de “Calidad de Vida”. Resultados: la distribución de Calidad de Vida fue de tal manera, el 26% Baja calidad de vida, el 50% Media calidad de vida y el 24% Alta calidad de vida. en cuanto a las dimensiones, Función Física 56%), Dolor Corporal (84%), Vitalidad (55%), Función Social (48%), Rol Emocional (71%) y Salud Mental (78%), predominó la Calidad de vida Media. la dimensión Salud General obtuvo (59%) Calidad de Vida Alta, y la dimensión con más Baja calidad de vida fue el Rol Físico (57%). Conclusiones: la calidad de vida más representativa fue la Media, ya que en cinco dimensiones se presentó una Calidad de Vida Media. la dimensión más con más Alta Calidad de Vida fue Salud General y la dimensión con más baja Calidad de vida fue Rol físico.
