Resumen
The objective of this study is to determine how the knowledge and practices in biosafety of the nursing professional in the Intensive Care Units of a Clinic in Metropolitan Lima are related to each other, 2023. Methodology: Hypothetical-deductive method, quantitative approach, applied research, non-experimental design, cross-sectional correlational. The population will be made up of 200 participants from the nursing staff working in the intensive care units. As a technique a survey for variable 1 and observation for variable 2, as instruments a questionnaire and checklist, applied and validated by three expert judgments and by the work of Sánchez Y. in the year 2022. The k20 test was used to validate the instrument, and the results showed that it is sufficient and adequate for the required sample to extract data linked to the dimensions of the study variable with a reliability score of 0.94. The reliability of the questionnaire by means of a Kuder Richardson test (alpha = 0.75) and the reliability of the checklist by means of the Kr coefficient (20) alpha of 0.86. Inferential statistics will be used to compare the hypotheses offered in terms of the normality of the results, using parametric or nonparametric tests. Hypotheses will be compared using Pearson's correlation once normality is confirmed.
