Level of knowledge and practices of biosafety measures of the staff of the surgical center of a regional hospital, 2022

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and biosafety practices of healthcare personnel in the surgical center of a regional hospital, 2022. Materials and Methods: The research is hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative approach, observational, cross-sectional, and non-experimental design. The population consists of 78 healthcare professionals and non-professionals. The survey technique and an observation guide consisting of questions based on scientific knowledge and health protocols were used to describe variable levels of knowledge. For validity, the instruments were subjected to the judgment of three experts, and reliability was established with a biosafety knowledge reliability of 0.87 and biosafety practice reliability of 0.83, both with excellent reliability. Data were processed using SPSS version 22. For statistical analysis, the non-parametric Spearman's Rho test was used to test the hypotheses, as the variables are ordinal or interval in nature.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación del nivel de conocimiento y prácticas de bioseguridad del personal de salud de centro quirúrgico de un hospital regional, 2022. Material y método: la investigación es hipotético deductivo, con enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño observacional transversal no experimental, la población está constituida por 78 profesionales y no profesionales de salud, se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta y una guía de observación conformada por interrogantes fundamentados en conocimientos científicos en base a los protocolos sanitarios para describir niveles variables de conocimiento, para la validez se sometieron a juicio de tres expertos en la materia, para la confiabilidad en Conocimientos en bioseguridad 0.87 en práctica de bioseguridad 0.83, ambos estudios tuvieron excelente confiabilidad, para el procesamiento de datos se utilizó el software SPSS versión 22, para probar estadística Rho de Spearman no paramétrica se utiliza para probar las hipótesis porque son variables ordinales o de intervalo.
