Knowledge and practices on healthy eating in mothers of children under 5 years of age at a health center in Cerro de Pasco - 2023

Abstract

This entitled "Knowledge and practices about healthy eating in mothers of children under 5 years of age at a health center in Cerro de Pasco, 2023. With the objective of: determining the relationship between knowledge and practices about eating health in mothers of children under 5 years of age from a health center in Cerro de Pasco - 2023. Methodology. The proposed methodological design is a hypothetical deductive study with a quantitative research approach, type of applied research, non-experimental cross-sectional design, level of correlational scope. Regarding the population, for the purposes of this research work, the analysis population is made up of 80 children under 5 years of age who attend a health center in Cerro de Pasco in the year 2023. To achieve precise results, work with the total population, therefore, the sample is made up of 80 children under 5 years of age who attend the Paucartambo health center. Regarding the instruments, for the purposes of data collection, the questionnaire prepared by Cruz Solórzano, Mabel Carmen in 2022 previously validated with a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.75 (n=20), and the inventory called food practices in mothers of preschools, prepared by Ferrel G., García M. & Villanueva B. in 2015. The data will be analyzed with the statistical program SPSS and the hypothesis will be verified through the Spearman test.

Metodología. El diseño metodológico propuesto es un estudio hipotético deductivo con un enfoque de investigación cuantitativo, tipo de investigación aplicada, diseño no experimental de corte trasversal, nivel de alcance correlacional. En cuanto a la población, para efectos del presente trabajo de investigación, la población de análisis está compuesta por 80 niños menores de 5 años que asisten a un centro de salud de Cerro de Pasco en el año 2023. Para alcanzar resultados precisos se va a trabajar con el total de la población, por lo tanto, la muestra está compuesta por 80 niños menores de 5 años que asisten al centro de salud Paucartambo. Respecto a los instrumentos, para efectos de recolección de datos se utilizará el cuestionario elaborado por Cruz Solórzano, Mabel Carmen en 2022 previamente validado con un Alfa de Crombach de 0.75 (n=20), y el inventario denominado prácticas alimentarias en madres de preescolares, elaborado por Ferrel G., García M. y Villanueva B. en 2015. Los datos serán analizados con el programa estadístico SPSS y se comprobará la hipótesis a través de la prueba de Spearman.
