Expenditure on food consumption outside the home, and how much it represents of family income, in households with the presence of children under five years of age and households with the presence of older adults- 2017.

Abstract

The objective was to determine the expenditure on food consumption outside the home (GCAH) and how much it represents of family income, in households with children under five years (HCN<5A) and households with elderly adults (HCAM) - 2017. The research design used was cross-sectional, descriptive, and quantitative, based on the aggregation and analysis of data obtained from the National Household Survey (ENAHO) 2017. The result shows that GCAFH in HCN<5A is S/ 3280.40, representing 8.29% of their income, and in HCAM it is S/ 2407.80, representing 6.83% of their income. It was concluded that GCAFH is higher in HCN<5A. In the case of households with the highest expenditure, these are the ones that do not have elderly adults in the household composition. It is necessary to control the quality of food sold outside the home, so that those who buy and consume have a healthy food option.

El objetivo fue conocer cuánto es el gasto en el consumo de alimentos fuera del hogar (GCAH) y cuánto representa del ingreso familiar, en hogares con presencia de niños menores de cinco años (HCN<5A) y hogares con presencia de adultos mayores (HCAM)- 2017.

El diseño de la investigación utilizada, es transversal, descriptivo y cuantitativo, basado en la agrupación y análisis de datos obtenidos de la encuesta nacional de hogares (ENAHO) 2017.

El resultado muestra que el GCAFH en HCN<5A es s/ 3280.40, representando el 8.29% de su ingreso, el resultado en HCAM es 2407.80 y representa el 6.83% de su ingreso. Se concluye que, el GCAFH es mayor en HCN<5A. En el caso de los hogares que gastan más son aquellos que no cuentan con AM en la composición de su hogar.

Es necesario controlar la calidad de los alimentos que son expendidos fuera del hogar, para que quienes compran y consumen tengan una opción saludable de comida.
