Impact of the educational program on knowledge about breastfeeding exclusively in pregnant women who come to the sessions of obstetric psychoprofilaxis in the Hipólito Unanue National Hospital, the agustino, during the period from may to july - 2018

Abstract

The study was pre-experimental with pre-test and post-test, prospective cross-sectional. It was made up of 71 pregnant women who participated in the obstetric psychoprophylaxis program. In our results, it was observed that the average age of the participants was 26.6 ± 7.6 years, 57.7% had an age in the range of 20 to 34 years, 56.3% had at least secondary education and 62% declared that they were cohabiting. Before and after the application of the educational program, 32.4% and 97.2% presented a good level of knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding on average in the 3 areas: practice, importance and technique, respectively. This difference was statistically significant (p<0.000). We conclude that the educational program turned out to have a positive effect on improving the level of knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding among the pregnant women included in this study, since we have managed to demonstrate that, by carrying out educational programs, we contribute to empowering knowledge of breastfeeding. exclusive since its inception.

El presente estudio es de gran importancia porque la diabetes gestacional en la actualidad constituye una de las alteraciones a nivel metabólico que se presenta con mayor frecuencia en el embarazo y es importante saber las características clínicas de esta enfermedad así como también los factores que los predisponen, de esta manera se podrá abordar dicha patología desde el enfoque preventivo en las atenciones primarias y el tratamiento por el médico especialista en endocrinología, todo ello con la finalidad de reducir la morbimortalidad a causa de la diabetes gestacional.
