Family functioning and self‐esteem in high school students of an educational institution of the San Mateo District, Huarochirí Lima 2023

Abstract

The development of the research aims to determine how the family functioning presented by the student is related to the level of their self-esteem, this in a group of high school students of an educational institution of Huarochirí belonging to Lima, during the year 2023, also, the methodology used in the study is based on an applied type, with a non-experimental design with a hypothetical deductive method, in addition to having as a sample 130 students, through the use of the Family Functionality Questionnaire (FACES III) and Coopersmit Self-Esteem Questionnaire, regarding the data collection process this will proceed after obtaining the authorization of the investigated institution and talking with the sample about the study, in the application of the instruments the delay will be between 25 to 30 minutes for the resolution of the same, which will be coded and reflected in a database that will be statistically processed by the Spss 25.0 program which will yield data in tables and figures, being the descriptive level, at the inferential level the program will apply the non-parametric Spearman Rho test with a margin of error of only the 0.05, with which it will be possible to verify the hypotheses of study, and provide the conclusions of the case.

El desarrollo de la investigación presenta como objetivo el poder determinar como el funcionamiento familiar que presenta el estudiante se relaciona con el nivel de su autoestima, esto en un grupo de estudiantes de nivelsecundaria de una institución educativa de Huarochirí perteneciente a Lima, durante el año 2023, asimismo, la metodología utilizada en el estudio se basa en un tipo aplicada, con un diseño no experimental con un método hipotético deductivo, además de tener como muestra 130 estudiantes, a través del uso del Cuestionario de funcionalidad familiar (FACES III) y Cuestionario de autoestima de Coopersmit, en cuanto al proceso de recolección de datos esta se procederá luego de obtener la autorización de la institución investigada y conversar con la muestra sobre el estudio, en la aplicación de los instrumentos la demora será entre 25 a 30 minutos para la resolución de los mismos, lo que será codificado y plasmado en una base de datos que será procesada estadísticamente por el programa Spss 25.0 el cual arrojara datos en tablas y figuras, siendo el nivel descriptivo, en el nivel inferencial le programa aplicara la prueba no paramétrica de Rho de Spearman con un margen de error de solo el 0.05, con lo cual se podrá comprobar las hipótesis de estudio, y brindar las conclusiones del caso.
