Abstract

The knowledge of first-time mothers directly influences human development. The role of the nurse is crucial in identifying and recognizing early risk factors, warning signs, and potential complications in newborns, considering the mother's beliefs, values, and practices. This research project is essential to reduce newborn mortality by addressing factors that impact care and development. The main objective is to determine the knowledge of first-time mothers on newborn care at the Manuel Barreto Maternal-Infant Center, San Juan de Miraflores, 2020. This study is quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional. The population will consist of first-time mothers, with a non-probabilistic, non-random convenience sampling method, obtaining a sample of 60 mothers. The survey technique will be used, and a questionnaire will be applied using Richard Kunderson's statistical formula (KR-20). The study variable will be the knowledge of first-time mothers on newborn care, considering relevant bioethical principles. This project will serve as a basis for future research.

El conocimiento de las madres primíparas influye directamente en el desarrollo humano. La licenciada de enfermería desarrolla un rol importante para identificar y reconocer tempranamente los factores de riesgo, signos de alarma y posibles complicaciones en el recién nacido, teniendo en cuenta sus creencias, valores, prácticas para descubrir y predecir sus condiciones de salud. El presente proyecto de investigación es de suma importancia para la disminución de mortalidad en los recién nacidos, para ello es importante mejorar diferentes factores que abarquen el cuidado y desarrollo. El objetivo principal es determinar los conocimientos de las madres primíparas sobre el cuidado del recién nacido en el centro Materno Infantil Manuel Barreto, San Juan de Miraflores, 2020 .El presente estudio es de tipo cuantitativo , método descriptivo y de corte transversal .La población estará conformada por las madres primíparas , se aplicara un muestreo de tipo no probalistico , no aleatorio y, por conveniencia obteniéndose mediante la fórmula de una muestra de 60 madres, la técnica que se utilizara es la encuestas y como instrumento el cuestionario la cual se utilizara la formula estadística Richard de Kunderson (KR-20), como variable de estudio se desarrollara con el conocimiento de las madres primíparas sobre los cuidados del recién nacido y se tomara en cuenta los principios fundamentales bioéticos correspondientes. Este proyecto de investigación se constituirá en base para futuras investigaciones.
